Rough Patch (black denim)

Handmade using pre-loved salvaged denim, these rough patches aren't all that bad.
A slow-made item handmade by myself in small batches with each artwork applied using lino printing techniques. Due to the upcycled material used, and handmade nature, each patch is personally imperfect. But this is what makes them special.

Add a bit of fun to a garment or use a patch to mend a hole and prolong wear.

Each patch is:
• approximately 8cm x 6.5cm
• made using pre-loved salvaged denim
• lightly sewn around the edge for reinforcement
• printed by hand using lino printing techniques and textile inks
• washed to check ink fastness
• finished with an iron-on glue backing.
NOTE: although the patches are made with iron-on glue it is strongly recommended the edges, especially corners, are hand-stitched into place for longevity.

Choose a patch artwork and I'll include another patch with artwork chosen randomly. Because rough patches often bring surprises.

Each rough patch package contains:
• one patch chosen by you
• one patch chosen randomly by me
• instructions for applying the patches
• two handmade lino-printed paper stickers also chosen randomly (designs vary from those shown)

Keep the haul for yourself or go halfsies and share with a friend.

Rough patches are made in small-batches using pre-loved denim from different sources. Although the base colour the same (in this instance black) qualities of the denim may appear different as some denim may be more faded to others, or be of a different weight.

Artworks will change over time as new batches are made.
